Growing up, I always loved going back to school shopping. I wasn't necessarily excited about all the clothes buying, but I looked forward to picking out that perfect Trapper Keeper (does this give my age away? Do they even still sell these?), cute and colorful folders, new pencils, fun lunchbox and of course, a new backpack! Now as a mom, I still LOVE shopping for these things for my own children. And today, compared to when I was younger, there are so many options to choose from!
My children all love Disney's Frozen (I have yet to meet someone who doesn't!) and we have been in search of bringing as many "warm hugs" and Frozen fun to our back to school shopping excursions as we can. Unfortunately, where we live EVERYTHING is sold out. That's right, every store in my area is clean out of anything remotely related to Anna, Elsa, Olaf and friends. Even travelling almost an hour away to go to the larger stores, we came home with just three things ... a Frozen backpack and two lunchboxes. Add to it, it was the LAST of the backpacks and we purchased the last two Frozen lunchboxes. Luckily, Hayley was fine with Emily having the backpack and they each have a lunchbox. So needless to say most of what I am sharing today, I have found online and check back weekly at our local stores in hope that something, anything Frozen shows up!

What goes with the perfect Frozen backpack and lunchbox? A Frozen water bottle and/or thermos. My children drink a lot of water. Luckily all their teachers have allowed them to keep water bottles on their desks. The thermos will be a bit more costly than the regular water bottles, but from experience, I can say they are worth the investment. They last a long time and do not show wear and tear as some of the regular water bottles do. For even more Frozen fun, purchase some Frozen napkins to give them with their lunch or snack each day. I generally give my children napkins that match the season or the sport they are participating in or something that matches what they are studying in class. So adding a Frozen napkin into their lunchbox is a great way to bring a little Disney into their day.

From folders to rulers to stationary to pencils and much more, there isn't much out there that does not come in some version of Frozen. If you can't find Frozen pencils at your local store, check out party stores or websites. Generally they can be found with the favors in each party theme, same goes for pens! My children bring new folders at the beginning of each school year. Sometimes the teachers supply their own for home to school communications, but for those that don't, an Olaf or Anna & Elsa folder is a fun way to get homework home and back to school. Though the school has never asked us to supply notebooks for school, we always purchase new notebooks. My girls LOVE to write stories and draw. They have a 45 minute ride home on the bus, so having a notebook is a great way to pass the time while waiting to get home. Plus, the fun Frozen covers could be a bit of inspiration for their masterpieces!

Of course, buying new clothes has never been a favorite of mine, but who can resist showing off their love of Frozen with new shirts featuring Anna, Elsa and Olaf? Wal-Mart, Kohl's, JC Penny, Target and many more retailers all have plenty of Frozen themed clothes to choose from. In our area, if they ever come back into stock, Wal-Mart has the best prices, though if you happen to get a Kohl's coupon when their Frozen clothes are on sale, you could get a great deal there too!
