Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2014 Dates

It's here - the dates and tickets for Walt Disney World's ticketed event - Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  We attended the party in 2011 and all dressed as Toy Story characters.  It was a lot of fun and something we look forward to doing again someday!

If you plan to attend, here are the dates for 2014:

  • September 1, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28
  • October 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 13, 16, 17, 19, 21, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31
From Hallowishes (an amazing Halloween themed nighttime spectacular) to the Boo to You Parade (our favorite Disney parade) to characters in costume and so much more, it is a great event!  It was a Disney splurge for us, and something we would definitely do again!

Do you plan to experience Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party this year?

Great advice, in the early days of this they used to just pull kids from the crowds, glad they have some organization to it now.

This is so fun! I've heard that it's tough to get over there in time. Great suggestion on the breakfast ADR! :)

I definitely fills up quickly! I am hoping to go to Disney Junior Play N Dine next trip! My girls will love to see Sophia and Doc.

I had no idea! How disappointing for kids not to be picked. At least now everyone has a chance!

Great tips! This is so much fun for the kids and a must do! It was crazy busy Star Wars Weekend but the kids had a blast!

Thank you so much for sharing this! My boys regretted not doing this after our trip was over last year, so it's a must do next time.

So worth it! The Jedi Master of our ceremony was amazing and so funny! I didn't want it to end!! :-) It made Joey's whole trip!

I bet! Did you see any parents participating in the Jedi Training Academy? I thought over Star Wars Weekends they could, but then I read something yesterday and it didn't mention that. Glad you had fun on your trip!! I loved following along on your adventure!

What a cutie your little guy is! It looks like he was so happy! Thanks for the suggestion of an ADR to get there early!

Yay!! My oldest son had a blast doing this a couple of years ago. My younger, more shy son hasn't quite worked up the courage yet. They're now requiring the child participating be with you when you sign them up for a time so be sure to bring your young Jedi with you when you go to register. It's also fantastic to get the Photopass pictures from the experience too!

Joey is one of the most kind hearted children too. He rarely asks for anything, always letting his sisters have their way, so I had to make sure he was able to have the chance to fight Darth Vader. He loved every minute of Jedi Training Academy!

Joey is my super shy child, so I was not sure he would talk to the cast members asking them questions. I was quite surprised to hear him answers their questions. It was one of those moments that I looked at him and realized he is growing up. :-)

Thank so much for sharing your tips. Your son must have been so happy to finally participate. My daughter has no desire to do this but I'm hoping my son will. He just saw Star Wars for the first time and he loved it!

EXCELLENT timing! we were just talking about this yesterday. I think I'll be more sad if C can't do it than he will be!

Great advice, I know how important these tips are, my son went last year and boy were we up early to get him there. All worth it for those smiling faces. ;-)

This show was so much better than I thought it would be! The Jedi Master was a lot of fun and had quick one liners for every instance of the kids doing something maybe they shouldn't or malfunctioning lightsabers! :-)

There was one little little guy in Joey's group and he was ADORABLE!! I hope C does it!!

Beth D. said...

Me too! He never asks for anything, so I was so happy we could make this work for him!

Beth D. said...

I 100% agree! Worth every second!

I have never been to MNSSHP, but I've had friends who have been. They said even without kids, it is a very fun party and definitely worth going to. I think I might have to attend one year!

Did they give you options of what times you wanted to go? I have a lunch reservation and didn't want to sign up for a time when we will be eating.

Beth D. said...

We had so much fun and really we debated whether it would be worth the extra money. We weren't as prepared as we should have been to take full advantage of everything the party had to offer but still really enjoyed it. Next time around we will be better prepared!

Beth D. said...

Hope you were able to get tickets!

Beth D. said...

Hi Kim! Yes, when you get signed up, you choose which show you want your child to be in. So you will have no problem getting to your lunch reservation!

Yes we were. We're going September 16. We leaving YVR on September 9 and going by WestJet.

do you bring your own light saber or is it supplied?

Beth D. said...

They actually supply it and the kids turn them in before they exit the stage.
