Today, I am joining in the fun of the Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop hosted by Focused on the Magic.  This week's theme is Parades, and I am excited to share photos from the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World during our 2011 vacation.

You must share how you capture such clear, unobstructed views of the parades Beth; mine are always terrible!

Well, let me tell you my "secret." :-) Right in Frontierland, on the corner heading to Splash Mountain, there is a small gift shop with hats AND an ice cream cart nearby. So with plenty of time before the parade, my kids love to test out the hats then my dad buys them an ice cream. We twice have had this spot to ourselves, though it may be no one wants to be touched by my ice cream covered kids. It is no Carnation Cafe (great post on that by the way!), but it is our version of your tip on a good spot with a good view and good food!

Great pics, Beth, awesome tip on where to stand next time I will definitely be checking it out and the ice cream doesn't hurt either. Big Fans ;-)

Thank you! We had a great spot! This was actually Halloween 2011. We practically had the park to ourselves. It was great!

Thank you, Deb! The girls were so excited because Jessie and Woody came right up to the kids. It was so cute!

Thanks, Diane! It is definitely a great spot and attempt to save our spots every trip. I figure any spot we share with a Disney ice cream spot is premiere seating. :-)

I agree! The song pops into my head every time I see the pictures.

Do they offer "digital" copies with the Blu-ray/DVD combos?

Beth D. said...

Yes, for certain ones they do offer that.

Do you receive free magnets when you receive your movies in the mail?

I don't do Blu-Ray but I was just able to save a bundle by joining for the DVDs! My first order (5 movies for $1, plus the additional 2 for $11.95 and $8.95) was $21.90, and I decided to immediately fulfill my commitment and save on shipping by purchasing 3 more for $19.99/each plus shipping, which came to $66.78. So, total of $88.68 for 10 movies. $8.87/each for 10 DVDs! Can't find them that cheap anywhere. I got a bunch of classic Disney animated titles, Pixar, Studio Ghibli, Disney exclusives only available through the club. Just made sure to do the research and compare prices on Amazon to be sure I was only using my membership to buy titles that would otherwise be more expensive than $8.87. I've also had great luck with customer service via chat on their website - two of the cases were broken when they arrived so they shipped me brand new copies.
