A Review for American Tourister's Colora Line of Luggage ~ We Will Definitely #PackMoreFun for Disney Now! #SP

I am so excited to have found my new favorite piece of luggage!  It is my lime green American Tourister bag from the Colora line.  This line of luggage will make anyone smile while packing, due to its bright cheerful colors.  As soon as my children saw it, they immediately thought it looked like the Toy Story Aliens, which led to a fun conversation about several characters who "match" our new suitcase.  Anytime we can find a little Disney in our day, it is a good day.  So, we could not be more excited that American Tourister is now the official luggage of Walt Disney World and Disneyland!  These are two companies we love and trust!

The actual bag that I own is the American Tourister Colora 20" Spinner in lime green.  The reason it is called a spinner is because of the dual spinner wheels, which means they rotate 360 degrees and make maneuvering through a busy airport (or my children's obstacle course of toys they set up for us to test out how easily it glides around things) a breeze!  With three little ones in tow, this is a wonderful feature to make our travel experience much easier.

The look of the inside is also deceiving!  As I started to pack our bag, I realized it could hold much more than I thought!  I asked the girls to pack the bag as if we were headed to Walt Disney World.  Let's just say, four princess dresses, four princess purses, three tiaras, two pairs of princess shoes and a pair of Minnie ears did not even com close to filling this suitcase!  But no worries, my girls were able to add in four more princess outfits (dresses, shows, jewelry and all) and there was still room to spare.  Easily an adult could pack for a 3-4 day trip with this one piece of luggage.

I love that there are straps to keep my folded clothes in place.  Knowing that for the most part they won't be shifting around the entire flight puts me at ease knowing I will not have to do any ironing while on vacation!  Even better, the interior also has two zippered compartments for all the small things that the straps would not necessarily be able to hold into place.  Having these separate compartments also makes it easy to find things if you haven't unpacked yet! Another great feature is the plastic toiletry bag.  Being someone who has actually had a shampoo bottle leak into her luggage, this plastic toiletry bag is a wonderful feature to keep anything that could spill from making a mess of my packed clothes.  Even better, it snaps into the bag, so it is easy to remove when you need it and then snap it back into place.

Having owned an American Tourister bag before, I can tell you they hold up against the tribulations of their travel time from leaving our hands until we reclaim them at baggage claim.  They are well built and sturdy!  Even better, this bag is the perfect size to carry on board if you so choose.  With the dimensions being 20" x 14.5' x 8.5", it fits perfectly in the overhead compartment (though always check ahead of time with your airline to be sure!).  My favorite part about the new line of Colora bags ... the colors!  How bright and cheerful, but even better, these will be the easiest bags to spot at baggage claim!  Check out American Tourister's Colora line to see all the fun colors and sizes they have!

I have also had something leak in a suitcase - definitely not fun. I had purchased waterproof bags from a camping store but they finally wore out. This is a great option!

What a great idea, Beth! I never thought to setup an obstacle course to show the maneuverability of the bag! Great review!

Great review Beth! You certainly know how to #packmorefun into your bag! I love that the kids built and obstacle course for the maneuverability test! Kid tested - mom approved!

I just love the Princess Packing job! So adorable! And what a great testimony that this bag is good enough for royalty. Surely princesses know how to #PackMoreFun, right?!

If it passes the princess test, we love it! I will tell you that after realizing they had more room, the immediately went to get more princess shows. I think we are in trouble when they are teenagers. We'll have to upgrade each of the girls to the larger bag!

Even better, the obstacle course was made of almost all Disney things. They know what I like! LOL! When I saw each of the kids make their way through without an issue, I know this bag was a keeper!

That is just a glimpse into my life as a mom int he Doda household. LOL! They love to test me daily, this just happened to be one of the more entertaining tests!

I love that feature because it is isn't just the flimsy plastic but the heavy duty-nothing-is-getting-through-this plastic! Now that I think of it, I should have written that in the review!

I love that all of your Princess essentials fit. :) Great review! That plastic bag is definitely going to come in handy.

It sounds like your girls have their priorities in order...maybe they need their own Colora - in Raspberry pink, of course!

Wow, even the wheels have great color! And I went to the American Tourister website...I can't believe the other great colors. It's definitely luggage fit for a princess!

Awesome review Beth. I love how you got so much in there. And it reminded us of the Toy Story Aliens to and we loved that :-)

Proof that princesses never pack lightly; but the COLORA is their pumpkin that transforms into a coach!! Adorable. ;)

What more could a princess need?

TheDisneyKids.com said...

She needs the orange bag to be her pumpkin ;)

American Tourister really has thought of everything! This bag is so roomy and bright and durable--just right for packing more fun into any trip!

Apparently my girls need no pajamas, t-shirts or shorts for vacation! :-)

I didn't post Joey's picture, but he took his Disney Racer bucket and Beyblades bucket and dumped them in. Then, he laid his plush Mickey on the top. :-) Apparently the idea of bringing clothes on vacation is lost on my children. LOL!

They have mentioned how fitting a raspberry colored one would be! Maybe Santa will deliver one!

Beth D. said...

The tiaras take up a lot of space, so I wasn't sure how much they could fit in, but I think in the end we could fit 8 dresses and accessories. Now that is a good bag!

I just love when we can find Disney here at home. My kids want to paint an eye on the bag so it looks like Mike Wazowski! :-)

Beth D. said...

LOL, Donna! Well said!! Yes, I guess I will need to get them a larger size because of course when packing ... they went for the shoes first!

Beth D. said...

You know it!! There is jewelry in there too! They were cracking me up while packing. Not once did they consider bringing anything besides princess outfits and toys. I've taught them well! :-)

Beth D. said...

I was really impressed at how much we could squeeze into it! I love it!

Another princess must-have!!

Thank you, Diane! Our day to travel to Disney is always a celebration, but on this particular day, we were even happier than usual! :-)

DIStherapy said...

Yes! That kind of magic only works when you can't fly HOME. :D

You said it!

I remember that trip! We were so worried. Everyone looks so happy to be finally boarding the plane. What a way to start the trip! I am so glad things turned out!! I got snowed in once in Puerto Rico. I was very glad to be there in the sunshine to wait out the storm:)

Beth D. said...

Talk about a huge relief! It made us appreciate the vacation even more than we already do! I wouldn't have minded having to spend an extra day or two in WDW, but the other way around is tough! :-)

Great review and great pics. What fun!

Thank you! It was quite fun to see the girls "pack." Nice to see what they consider essentials! ;-)

This brings back memories of our infamous 2010 trip. Our flight did get cancelled due to a snow storm, and we had to dig ourselves out of the parking lot to drive to Florida instead! Got there 3 days late, but managed to have a great time despite it all!! Glad you were able to get your flight! I don't wish getting stranded at the airport on anyone!

Always great to get away from the snow! Adorable photos :]

Beth D. said...

Thank you! And, yes, a February vacation is usually the best time to escape the winter. It is right when we are getting sick of snow and cold! :-)

Awesome pics! Looks like a fun shoot! :)

We have had a few close calls, but with three little ones, the last place i want to be in stuck in an airport, LOL! Of course, flying from New England always has its tricky weather!! :-)

Beth D. said...

We had a lot of fun, even more so when we finally were able to take a trip. It made me love it even more because it is so easy to spot at the airport and was able to hold a lot more than I expected!!
