Over the years, my children have come to love all Disney characters and look forward to meeting their favorites when in Walt Disney World. Though on certain trips, one or two of them may be a little more timid about meeting characters in the parks, I can say after our last trip, all fears are gone. My children could not get enough of the characters! During our 2011 trip, we took the time to experience the character trails at Camp Minnie-Mickey in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which was great seeing the Fab 5 in their safari outfits. This time around, we visited Pete’s Silly Sideshow in the Magic Kingdom for the first time … and loved it!
As you get to the front of the building you can choose to go to the right or the left. If you choose to go left, you will have the opportunity to have your photo taken with Minnie Maginifique, the dog trainer, and her Parisiene poodles, and Madame Daisy, the fortune teller. You wait in one line and make your way to both characters. The sets were wonderful, and it was fun to get some pictures of Minnie and Daisy is their circus attire. There is a Photopass photographer at each set to take photos for you, with their own camera, as well as your own!
When you finish your photos with Daisy and Minnie, you follow the exit signs, which take you to Big Top Souvenirs, a really great gift shop! To then go see Goofy and Donald, you exit the gift shop and head back to the entrance of Pete’s Silly Sideshow. Enter on the right side to see Great Goofini and Donald the Snake Charmer. As with the other side, Photopass photographers are there to take photos for you. Of course, the exit for this line also takes you to Big Top Souvenirs.
We had so much fun with these “circus characters” and sets. Even better, we were able to capture some great family photos thanks to the Photopass photographers. Next time you are looking for some unique Disney character photos, I highly recommend you head over to Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Storybook Circus at the Magic Kingdom.
