Welcome to those of you joining me from Days in the Park
and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the Final Stop on our
Magical Blogorail.
When it comes to choosing a favorite ride vehicle, I can say I had a very hard time narrowing down my choices. You might already know I am not a thrill ride seeker, so falling elevators, speeding limos and runaway trains really don't top my list (though I think their themeing is genius within their own attractions!). With my children the ages they are, the honey pots, clamshells and magic carpets are really more our style. But there is one ride that I have to say, after much thought, that our entire family loves. Our ride "vehicle" is chosen very carefully each and every experience, with Hayley going for purple, Emily going for pink and Joey heading for one that "isn't girly." Even better you can ride this attraction several times and never have the same vehicle twice because no two are the same. Though Emily referred to this as the "horse go round" for many years, its official name is Prince Charming's Regal Carousel. It is by far my children's favorite attraction, and therefore one of mine! This is the only attraction that my children choose their vehicle, and they each have certain criteria before choosing which horse will be their's for the two minute ride!

Next time you are in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom, take the time to really look at the intricate details on each of the horses, which are decorated with flowers, feathers, shields and more. While Hayley waits in line, she carefully watches the 90 horses pass and picks out the one she knows she is going to ride, which is never the same one twice, it is always the one that catches her eye on that particular day. As soon as the gate opens, she heads straight to the one she spotted. Joey heads toward one that has no pink and Emily looks for any horse with as much pink as possible on it. I don't think she has ever ridden a horse without pink! This classic attraction is by no means a thrill ride, and you will never need a FastPass to experience it, but it is one our favorites and having the opportunity to choose between 90 different horses gives us a "new" riding experience every trip!

Cute!! Noah says his two favorite rides are "the horses" and the race cars (tomorowland speedway).. and now climbs on our backs and says "giddy-up horsey" definitely a favorite all around!
My girls try to get on Cinderella's horse, but it's always taken.
Awww. We love the carousel too! A classic ride done right.
I love this attraction , especially the hand painted pictures around the top too.
Emily sounds like my kind of girl. the pinker the better!!
Yes! She is all about the pink! :-)
Same here! Someday hopefully we'll experience it!
