Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia ~ The first animal to arrive at Disney's Animal Kingdom is ...

Welcome to another week of Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia hosted by Disney Babies Blog, Heidi's Head, Magical Mouse Schoolhosue and My Dreams of Disney.  Each week I use my Walt Disney World Fun Fasts app to randomly choose a fun piece of Disney trivia.  Today's tidbit comes from Disney's Animal Kingdom.

The first animal to arrive at Disney's Animal Kingdom was Miles the giraffe on June 12, 1996.

I love catching a glimpse of the giraffes while on Kilimanjaro Safaris.  We even had a close encounter one trip, which was truly amazing!  (You can read about it in my "On Safari in Harambe" post).

The Safari is, by far, one of my favorite things to experience at WDW. Each time, it's so different from the last. :) We've been watching a show on Netflix - Wild at Heart - which is shot in Africa. Every time we watch it I say something about how authentic the Safari at AK really is! Amazing!

Cool! I love the safari! My youngest likes it because he flies off the seat when they go over ruts in the road, lol! Thanks for linking up this week!

I will have to check out that show! I love the safari! I still haven't glimpsed the lion doing anything but sleeping, but hopefully next trip I see him up and about! :-)

My kids think that is so funny too! It is a favorite of mine too and my kids, especially Hayley. She just loves animals, so the safari is one her favorites as well! Thanks for hosting!

We've seen him up and about on our last two trips and he is beautiful!

I can imagine! Last trip, I finally at least saw his ear and part of his mane! :-)
