Having just celebrated Hayley's sixth birthday, with yet again a Little Mermaid theme (four of her six birthdays have been this theme with the others being all Disney princesses), you can probably guess that our top attraction in the Fantasyland Expansion project we just can't wait for is Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid. Way back when the expansion project was announced, as part of Magical Blogorail Blue, I shared what I was originally most excited about, which was the Be Our Guest restaurant. But once I shared with my children what new things would be added to Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom, and I saw my girls' faces light up at the sound of a Little Mermaid attraction, I realized I cannot wait to see them experience this new attraction.
The Little Mermaid is a story of dreams coming true. This particular attraction will take guests, by clam shell, through Ariel's journey of being a mermaid longing to be a part of the human world to actually becoming human and marrying the prince of her dreams. Both Hayley and Emily are huge fans of the Little Mermaid soundtrack, so I can only assume they will be in all their glory riding a clam shell, singing along to some of their favorite Disney songs, while watching the story of one of their favorite princesses.
Now for Joey, I am not so sure that he has the same desire to experience this attraction as the girls, but we will see. He made a stand last trip that he would not have lunch with us at Cinderella's Royal Table! I know he will experience the attraction with us, but I am sure he will mostly be looking forward to heading back to his all time favorite - the Tomorrowland Speedway!

Thanks for boarding MBYellow with us this month, Beth! My daughter & I are both looking forward to Under the Sea!
Your girls look right at home with Ariel- I hope you video them as they see Prince Eric's Castle for the first time. I bet it will be priceless!
I love your photo and post! So the Little Mermaid ride will be like the Nemo one at Epcot? I can't wait, anything new at Disney is awesome! Thanks, Elizabeth from http://explore-disney-resorts.com
I cannot wait to see how they react! I am sure it will be magical to say the least! They may not want to leave Fantasyland!
We'll be in WDW in February, so I am quite excited this will be completed before then!
