A Few of My Favorites from Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival

Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival has just begun down in Walt Disney World, and I really wish I were there.  It is by far the most beautiful time of year to visit Epcot.  The topiaries and displays around Epcot are just amazing. I have written about this festival several times on Pursuing the Magic, so I thought today I would share some of my most favorite displays over the years.

As you might have guessed, the Beauty and the Beast displays are always my favorite, though my list of favorites is pretty long.  The year we visited in April, Belle's dress was in full bloom and a beautiful, bright yellow.  It is definitely one of my most favorite moments

As you enter Epcot, each year the front area has a new display to fit the theme of the festival.  In March 2010, the entrance was decorated with Goofy, Donald and Daisy "Celebrating the Great Outdoors."  The display was adorable with Daisy roasting marshmallows over a campfire.

Around World Showcase, you can find many character topiaries at each country from Aladdin near Morocco, Lady and the Tramp near Italy and Peter Pan near the United Kingdom.  It is amazing how these topiaries capture the true spirit of the characters and the movie moments they are representing.  Now to figure out how to get one or a few of these in my yard!

I hope one year to see Tangled characters represented in Epcot - I can envision Rapunzel's dress as bright purple flowers and her hair in full yellow blooms!  Which Disney movie or character would you like to see represented at Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival?

I love The Flower & Garden Festival. I had no idea Belles dress bloomed, I've only seen it in green. That is really neat!!

The funniest thing is that my first experience with the Flower & Garden Festival was in May.  Everything was in full bloom.  The year we went in March it was so different because though still impressive, a lot of things weren't at their peak bloom.  But if you can ever catch Belle in full bloom, it truly is breath taking!

They like seeing the topiaries and seeing who can name the character first, but other than that, it isn't a high point for them.  Of course had we been down last year and seen the Toy Story and Cars displays that may have made them more excited! :-)
