Wishes around the Web ~ Part 3 with Mary of Capturing Magical Memories

Today I am excited to welcome Mary from Capturing Magical Memories for Part 3 of Wishes around the Web series. Mary will be sharing her scrapbook tips and layouts to help you preserve your Wishes photos and memories.

First I have to thank Beth for hosting Wishes around the Web and inviting me to participate.  I absolutely LOVE wishes but I have to confess I have no pictures of the actual fireworks.  Deb's post last week left me in awe.  If only I could take photos like hers.  Here is to hoping that someday I can.

I am also hoping many of you are like me and don't have many photos but want to capture your memories of Wishes in a scrapbook.  There are ways to do this without having many (or any) photos and I am going to show you a couple of ideas.  I am doing these digitally but I have made them simple enough that traditional scrapbookers should have an easy time recreating them.

This first page is with a photo from the night my husband asked me to marry him.  He asked me right before Wishes started in the rose garden outside the Swan Dock.  It was magical and slightly embarrassing as I heard the round of applause when I said yes.

The photo that was taken minutes before he proposed is the focus of the page.  I then journaled the story of that evening to preserve the memories.  It is a simple page but a very meaningful one.

Another idea is when you have no photos at all.  I googled up a Disney photo of Wishes and the lyrics to go along with it.  It is ok to use an official Disney photo in your personal albums - you just can't sell it.  To complete the page I also added one photo of us from that day and voila we have a cute Wishes page.

I hope these gave you some ideas to capture those memories from Wishes or other events where you may not have many photos to work with.  Remember the purpose of the album is to capture our memories.  It may not be perfect but down the road they will be there to share and remember.

Thank you so much Mary for sharing your great scrapbooking tips!  Make sure you check out Mary's amazing Disney layouts at Capturing Magical Memories.  You can also find her on Facebook at Capturing Magical Memories and Twitter at @MaryD73.
