100 Things to Do in Disney #50, #51 and #52 ~ It's All About 'Ohana

Today in our countdown series, 100 Things to Do in Disney, we are sharing #52 dining at 'Ohana, #51 the Back Scratcher at Tambu Lounge and #50 the dessert at 'Ohana.

#52 ~ Dinner at 'Ohana in Disney's Polynesian Resort has been a favorite of our family for many years, but this is definitely on the top of my dad's list of things to do.  We've never stayed at Disney's Polynesian Resort, but 'Ohana is a great excuse to visit!  I have shared my thoughts already on this dining spot, so I won't repeat it, but you can find that post at Bringing a Little 'Ohana to the Dinner Table.  We have even created 'Ohana inspired dinners we create here at home, which I shared over at Manda's Disney Blog.

#51 ~ The Backscratcher at Tambu Lounge, the lounge adjacent to 'Ohana, is one of Pierre's favorite things on all of Disney property.  His trips would not be complete without at least one!  Even if we do not have dinner at 'Ohana planned, we at least monorail hop over to the Tambu Lounge so he can have one.  Even Kyle at The Lost Boys List podcast ranked this is in his top 5 drinks at the Tambu Lounge in a guest post for Cooking with Mickey.  Apparently, it is more popular than I originally thought!

#50 ~ One of my favorite desserts in all of Walt Disney World is served at 'Ohana.  Their bread pudding with bananas foster sauce is one of the things I definitely look forward to each trip.  Even Emily loves it! (To see how much she loves it, feel free to check out my post Good to the Last Drop)

Every trip, after eating at 'Ohana, we then hop aboard the monorail and make our way over to the Magic Kingdom.  We always get their just in time to see the nighttime parade and then Wishes.  It is a great way to end a day in Walt Disney World.

I've never been to O'hana, but I'm so tempted to add an ARD! Everything sounds/looks so good!

We enjoy 'Ohana, but I will admit it is one place we either have great service or absolutely terrible. But last trip we sat by the window and could see the castle from our table! I do really like the food and honestly, just being at the Polynesian is nice since I know I will never be able to afford to stay there! :-)

We are leaving for Disney World in 16 days and have ADRs for Ohana. I am really looking forward to this meal...mostly looking forward to seeing the resort since I've never been there.

Amy - The grounds are just beautiful! You can see Wishes from the beach at the Poly, so you could try to plan your dinner around that. It would give you plenty of opportunity to check out the resort.
