100 Things to Do in Disney #91 ~ Flights of Wonder

One of my favorite photos from
Flights of Wonder
I am sharing #91 on our countdown to Disney in my series 100 Things to Do in Disney.  Today I am talking about one of my personal favorites - Flights of Wonder in Disney's Animal Kingdom.  My husband and I discovered Flights of Wonder one trip purely by accident.  It is an attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom that I really never took the time to see just what it is.  Since that first accidental "meeting," it has become an item on my "must do" list each trip.  I have already blogged about Flights of Wonder (this link will take you to my article describing the attraction, as well as a photo montage of my favorite photos from the show), but there is one aspect of the show I am really hoping to experience this time around - being chosen from the crowd.

Every show, they choose two volunteers from the crowd.  The volunteers get to sit on stage, get their cameras ready and then click away as one of the show's "actors" swoops in toward the stage.  I can only imagine the types of photos people get from this amazing experience.  My recommendation to you, next time you are at Flights of Wonder and they ask for a volunteer, raise your hand!  I know I will be!

I've seen the show once and it was awesome. Maybe we'll get to it this time. I hope!

I love it!! Remember to have your camera ready when they ask for a volunteer with a camera!!! Jump up and wave your camera in the air to get a picture of the owl!!! :)

I was a volunteer last October. Only problem was, the owl was having an off day and refused to fly to where he was supposed to and flew backstage . . . The rest of the show went well!

If you have never been, it a must do at least once. Of course, if you don'tlike birds, it may not be your favorite because they are the stars of the show! :-)

Gaylin - That sounds like something that would happen to me!

I love this show! Even my sister who is creeped out by birds loves it. That's a great pic!

"Look! It's Kevin!!" =Bubby's reaction to your photo.

Anytime we go to the zoo and see a large bird like that he calls it "Kevin" from UP. We'll definitely be trying to fit this in on the next visit.
