100 Things to Do in Disney #82 ~ Earl of Sandwich

Since I have no pictures of Earl of Sandwich, here is
what we do after we eat.  We head over to World
of Disney.  Here's Emily in her favorite section
of the store!  March 2010
Today I am sharing #82 on our series 100 Things to Do in Disney. This is definitely my pick because it is one of my favorite spots for great food at a great price!  It is Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney.  We make sure we have lunch at least once here, though sometimes twice, per trip.  They have an extensive menu of salads and sandwiches.  I have tried several different sandwiches and loved each and every one of them.

On our last trip, I discovered that you can have their salads in a wrap!  I don't know why this impresses me so much, but I had the cobb salad in a wrap, and I just loved it.  They have a wide selection of salads, including caesar, caprese and chinese chicken, to name a few.

Their hot sandwiches are also delicious and served on their homemade bread.  I will say my favorite is The Original 1762, which is roast beef, horseradish and cheddar cheese.  My parents swear by the Italian. When we go in the fall, I will be trying either the Hawaiian BBQ or the Caribbean Jerk Chicken.  Or maybe another salad?  Ok, I won't know what I am going to order until I am standing in Earl of Sandwich, but I can't wait to try another of their delicious options!

For the kids' menu, they have several choices.  My kids were not so sure of the bread at first because it didn't look like our regular Wonder bread. But as soon as I could get them to take a bite, they loved their grilled cheese and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Earl of Sandwich has a great website if you want to check out their selection of salads, sandwiches and sides.  Also, they plenty of locations besides Downtown Disney.  Check it out to see if there is one near you!

Have you ever eaten at Earl of Sandwich?  Which sandwich, salad or wrap is your favorite?

Beth I have never been there but I have to say that your choice of the 1762 sounds like it would be my pick as well. I may have to give this a whirl when we go. Sounds yummy!

Always wanted to eat there, but we always seem to arrive when the line up is 45 minutes long.

Not only is the food great (those of you who haven't been there, the sandwiches care big), it is so reasonably priced. I believe that the sandwiches were $5 or $6. They could easily charge more, though I am happy they don't! :-) I feel this is one of the best dining deals on Disney property.

We have to dine with Earl pretty much every single trip. My favorite, hands down, is The Full Montagu.

We eat there on our trips too! Honestly, I don't remember what I get... probably a turkey on wheat with mustard, lettuce and pickles. That's my standard sandwich. I'm not an adventurous eater and I don't eat cheese... call me weird, I know!

Also, as I read this I continued to sing Barenaked Ladies "One Week" because of your reference to Chinese Chicken- "Chicken from China, the Chinese Chicken. You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin'..."

I'll be singing that the rest of the night! :)

I've never been to this one, but I'm pretty sure I've been to one at a service station of the FL Turnpike. I'll have to try this one - I'm sure it's better and everyone says its amazing!

I've heard wonderful things, but haven't tried it myself yet. Can't wait to though!
