Disney? . . . Again?

I am asked all the time, why don't you try something new? Why do you always return to Disney? My answer is always the same - I love it! I love that I am busy all week. I can eat at restaurants that I never have the opportunity to try here in NH. Seeing the castle still makes me a little teary-eyed everytime I make my way down Main Street. Plus, now that I have my children, their expressions and responses to everything around Walt Disney World just make me so happy. Even after returning home, they make me realize how special Walt Disney World is. Here are a few examples:

Joey is only 4, but whenever he sees a Disney vacation planning video or You Tube video of a ride he experienced, he can tell me exactly who went on that ride with him and whether or not he liked it. His favorite ride by far was the Tomorrowland Speedway. He did try out Test Track, which he says he liked. But if you ask him if he wants to go on it again, he will tell you that the fast race car made his belly hurt!

Just the other day, Hayley was wearing her Mickey Ears the entire day. Of course, she wouldn't think of letting them touch her head in Disney World, but she is loving them now that we are home. She even likes to put Joey's on Emily so they can both be wearing Mickey Ears at the same time!

For the past month or so, Hayley can say Cinderella. The first time she said it was probably the first time I started thinking about planning our next trip and how great of an age Hayley will be when the time comes.

Finally, I am never more convinced on how wonderful Disney is than when Joey turns to me and says, "mommy, let's go to Disney World tomorrow," and he means it! Usually it is followed by: "We can go to the airport and get in a red van." On our last trip, we rented a red van at the Orlando airport, which has stuck with him, even four months later!

Of course, there are so many moments during a Disney vacation that make me realize that it is a great place for kids and adults of all ages and why I return year after year. My most favorite moment from our last trip happened at the Cape May Cafe Character Breakfast at the Beach Club. Both my daughters were wearing Minnie Mouse shirts. When Minnie came to the table, I told them to show Minnie their shirts. Joey popped right up and pulled his shirt forward to show Minnie his Lightning McQueen shirt. It was so precious, and Minnie showed just as much excitement for Joey's shirt as she did for the girls'.

I can't wait to see what special moments our next trip brings!
